PAST FUTURE TENSE

Past Future Tense
(kejadian yang akan terjadi di masa lampau)

Formula :
S + Should/Would + Verb1

Contoh :
- I should stay there last night.
- Ann would buy a new cay last week.

Past Future Continuous Tense
(kejadian yang akan sedang terjadi di masa lampau)

Formula :
S + Should/Would + Be + Verbing

Contoh :
- They would be reading books in the library at this time yesterday.
- Your friends would be coming to the party at 7 o'clock last night.

Past Future Perfect Tense
(kejadian yang sudah akan selesai)

Formula :
S + Should/Would + Have + Verb3

Contoh :
- I should have come to the party if he had invited me.
- He would have graduated if he had studied hard for the test.

Past Future Perfect Continuous Tense
(kejadian yang akan sudah sedang berlangsung pada waktu lampau)


Formula :
S + Should/Would + Have + Been + Verbing

Contoh :
- We should have been working in this office for two years by last March.
- You would have been teaching in that school for five years on last year.

FUTURE TENSE

Simple Future Tense
(kejadian yang akan terjadi diwaktu yang akan datang)

Formula :
S + Shall/Will + Verb1

Contoh :
- She will go to campus at 8 o'clock tomorrow.
- My father will watch football match on TV tonight.

Future Continuous Tense
(kejadian yang akan sedang terjadi diwaktu yang akan datang)

Formula :
S + Shall/Will Be + Verbing

Contoh :
- My brother will be studying at 7 o'clock tonight.
- I shall be playing guitar at 5 o'clock tomorrow afternoon.

Future Perfect Tense
(kejadian yang sudah dimulai pada masa lampau dan akan selesai di waktu yang akan datang)

Formula :
S + Shall/Will + Have + Verb3

Contoh :
- They will have arrived in Australia on next Monday.
- She will have know the news at ten o'clock tomorrow morning.

Future Perfect Continuous Tense
(kejadian yang dimulai di masa lampau dan masih ada kemungkinan akan berlanjut di masa akan datang)

Formula :
S + Shall/Will + Have + Been + Verbing

Contoh :
- By January 2010, I shall have been working here for five years.
- They will have been living in Bandung for a year at the end of next August.

PAST TENSE

Simple Past Tense
(kejadian dimasa lampau)

Formula :
S + Verb2

Contoh :
- My father wrote a letter last night.
- My family went to Bandung last month.

Past Continuous Tense
(kejadian yang sedang terjadi di masa lampau)

Formula :
S + TOBE(Was, Were) + Verbing

Contoh :
- I was listening to radio when you came yesterday.
- My friends were swimming in the pool at ten yesterday morning.

Past Perfect Tense
(kejadian yang telah selesai dilakukan pada masa lampau)

Formula :
S + Had + Verb3

Contoh :
- We had finished our examination before last june.
- My sister had cooked in the kitchen before I went home.

Past Perfect Continuous Tense
(kejadian yang dimulai pada masa lampau dan masih berlangsung di masa lampau itu juga)

Formula :
S + Had + Been + Verbing

Contoh :
- They had been living in Palembang about ten years when I came in 2007.
- I had been walking in the park for 15 minutes when he met me two days ago.

PRESENT TENSE

Simple Present Tense
(waktu sekarang, kebiasaan sehari-hari)

Formula :
S + Verb1

Contoh :
- I usually get up at five o'clock in the morning
- She always watches TV every night.


Present Continuous Tense
(sedang terjadi)

Formula :
S + TOBE (Am, Is, Are) + Verb+ing

Contoh :
- They are reading books in the library at this time.
- He is sleeping in the bedroom now.

Present Perfect Tense
(kejadian yang dimulai dimasa lampau, dan masih ada hubungannya dengan sekarang)

Formula :
S + Have/Has + Verb3

Contoh :
- You have eaten fried rice for 10 minutes.
- Fasa has played football since two hours ago.

Present Perfect Continuous Tense
(kejadian yang dimulai di masa lampau dan masih terus berlangsung hingga sekarang)

Formula :
S + Have/Has + Been + Verbing

Contoh :
- We have been waiting for you since 9 o'clock this morning.
- My mother has been cooking in the kitchen for one hour.
